The cult Finnish metal band Lost Society released a new song, and it’s very different from their last single, Dead People Scare Me (But the Living Make Me Sick), which came out in May last year.

The new song, Blood Diamond, starts with a big orchestral sound mixed with heavy drums and guitars. I never expected to hear something like this! Personally I don’t like orchestral **strings in metal songs, but here they sound modern and perfect. I just can’t turn it off! Also, the band said they used a real orchestra from Germany. That’s amazing!

The verses are pure, powerful heavy metal — the best I’ve ever heard. The drums and guitars don’t let you relax. Your heart beats with the rhythm, and the song feels like it’s inside your body. Then, at 2:30, something magical happens — an instrumental part that gives you goosebumps again and again. It’s hypnotic, like floating in space. I don’t even know how to describe it… words just aren’t enough.

The song ends with a guitar solo — one of my favorite parts, played by the band’s guitarist, Sami Elbanna. After it ends, you just want to play it again and again.

Also, the band announced the title, tracklist, and release date of their new album! Their sixth LP will be called Hell is a State of Mind, and it comes out on March 6, 2026.
